Here ends another sea day
The gentle breeze blows
The afternoon light fades
The clouds in sunset red burn
The birds to their nests return
The fishermen to their shores
Row and return in tired boats.
Their anxious, worried, sad wives
In prayers for husbands’ lives.
Their sweet children at games fun
Far away seen by parents none.
The seagulls in flocks fly across
Here now the coastal day ends
